I'm starting to think I should just be done with art and focus on writing or something. I put hours into everything I make, yet I watch things that I know only took five minutes to make gain popularity rapidly. I understand that I make a lot of fan art, and obviously people have to be interested in that particular thing to like it, but still.
Especially on tumblr. I'm extremely disappointed with tumblr. I spent 3 hours making the last thing I posted there, which I'm about to post here, and it's barely moved in notes. Yet, I just saw another five minute edit running around all over that dash that has 100 notes. What the fuck? People want simple things that anyone could make over actual legitimate effort? That's bullshit and it makes me feel like I wasted two years getting a fucking degree in Graphic Design, only to have people with minimal effort and talent do better than me?
Maybe I should just ditch visual art altogether, since I'm obviously not doing what everyone else likes right now.
No wonder I haven't been able to find a job in it.

Change of plans
So, after talking with my brother about it, it looks like we'll actually attempt to go to Dragon Con this year instead of SDCC. But this is still kind of up in the air. SDCC still sounds like a great idea, and it is definitely possible to attend. There are several things that make me think it just isn't going to happen though.
First of all, as I mentioned I won't be cosplaying as Hawke, but will instead be Tali'Zorah. I don't have any supplies for that (except for craft foam) and just don't know if I'll be able to get all the materials and everything in the next few months. I've found some wonderful tutorials, though. So that's good.
Also,
Guyss....
I am so freaking busy now. So sorry.
I still plan on running #Dragon-Age-Addicts to the best of my ability but it will be slow because...Mass Effect has taken over.
Yeah...
This is me also saying that my cosplay is going to be changed from Marian Hawke to Tali'Zorah vas Normandy.
I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now. I still have all the supplies for Hawke and still plan to cosplay as her...I just suddenly found myself in love with Tali. Er...I just want to be her so bad and I have already figured out how to make most of the pieces of her outfit as well. And do her voice... So assuming I make it to SDCC, I won't be Hawke.

Featured art from #Dragon-Age-Addicts contest!
:star:Bloodsong13T (https://www.deviantart.com/bloodsong13t) was the winner of my groups very first contest! Part of the prize was having their work featured on my personal page as well as on the group page. Check them out!:star:
As promised, here are some of their DA pieces:

And some non-DA pieces that I think deserve some notice:

This work will be featured until April 7, 2012.
They do fantastic 3D art with Poser and have a good sense of design and composition, in my opinion. Congrats again Bloodsong13T (https://www.deviantart.com/bloodsong13t)!
Definitely going to go to San Diego anyways!
Yeah after being told by tons of people here and on tumblr that there is still a ton of stuff to do outside of SDCC I am certainly going to go! Hope to see lenacast (https://www.deviantart.com/lenacast) and Aicosu (https://www.deviantart.com/aicosu) there! And anyone else who is going!
As far as the cosplay goes:
I have the other half of Spider's Heart 90% shaped. But I hit an issue on that side. Where there was a big "Lowe's" logo in blue paint, the paint soaked through the foam pretty deeply. The tip I have on the dremel won't cut through it, so I'll have to cut it out by hand. I'd post pictures but the blue paint issue is disturbing me.
I don't have any class for almost 2 weeks here in a few days, s
